Land clearing, site grading, and full drain field replacement on a vegetated lot in South Hampton Falls — Jackson County permitted and installed from clearing through final grade.
A residential property in the South Hampton Falls community in Hoschton had a failing drain field that required full replacement. The project involved significant site work before any septic components could be installed.
The existing vegetation and tree coverage over the drain field area had to be cleared and removed, the ground had to be graded and prepared, and the old drain field had to be decommissioned before the new system could go in.
We started with land clearing across the drain field footprint, removing trees, stumps, and root systems without disturbing the areas of the property that did not need to be touched. Erosion control was established with straw and silt barriers to protect the surrounding lot during the grading phase.
Once the area was cleared, we graded the site to establish proper slope and drainage away from the new drain field location. Excavation followed to the depth required by the system design and Jackson County Environmental Health permit specifications.
The old drain field was decommissioned and the new system was installed with the county sanitarian inspections coordinated at the required stages. After backfill, the site was graded to final grade and the disturbed area was protected for stabilization.
"Such a pleasant person. Never knew there are still honest people."

Whether you are dealing with a failing drain field in an established Hoschton community, installing on a new lot in the Twin Lakes or SR-53 corridor, or need a site evaluation before a real estate transaction closes, the first step is a site assessment. We identify what the property requires before recommending any scope of work.
